Pumped Drum Filter System
A pumped filter system uses a pump installed in the pond to actively pump the contaminated water into the drum filter system, where coarse and fine dirt particles are mechanically removed through the drum's sieve. The cleaned water then runs through biological filter stages and finally flows back into the pond.

Gravity Drum Filter System
A gravity filter system allows water to flow from the pond into the drum filter unit via bottom drains or skimmers, using natural water pressure (gravity), where it is first mechanically cleaned of debris. The pre-filtered water then passes through additional biological filtration stages, such as moving bed modules, before being pumped back into the pond.
